Compound Words Writing


Students had a lesson on compound words, then they had to write a paragraph using compound words to show what they had learned. 

Slope


Students figured out the slope of objects that are in their surroundings. 

Safe Cooking

This information was viewed by students who attended the ENVISION Conference in Ashland, KY at KEDC.  This article is is about how to have safer cooking techniques for individuals that are blink or have low vision. 

Freedom


After a reading of the Emancipation Proclamation to the entire school, students in study skills discussed what freedom meant to them.  They were then asked to draw a picture of their definition of freedom.

Talking Microwave

Work Values Survey

Students were asked to take an inventory that covered work values. The students then reviewed their results to see what they valued in a job.

Students were asked to write a letter to a celebrity in order to address the need for money to help with the funding of the Boys and Girls Club.

Improving Your Writing

Students were asked to improve upon their writing skills by addressing run-on sentences. This worksheet was what the students completed after the lesson.

Poem

Poems were discussed in class. Students were asked to fill out a form that helps them to write a poem about themselves in order to demonstrate understanding of what they learned.
