School to Work Career Survey


Students have an opportunity to take a survey on the computer.  The results of the survey can be used to see what work industries a student may like to work in.  These reults help a student to plan for post-secondary transitioning.

Teacher and students make goals for student achievement on Explore, Plan, and ACT.

Lexia

Students work on Lexia in order to meet IEP goals.  Students work at their own pace and instruction is modified to meet the needs of each student. 





ILP Career Cluster


Carl Perkins Vocational Training Center








Students toured the Carl Perkins Vocational Training Center in Thelma, KY.  The Center specializes in training students with special needs.   

Power Point Presentation




Students completed surveys and research on a topic of their choice.  They then compiled the information into a PPT and presented to the class. 

Career Exploration


In study skills, students have the opportunity to do research on the post-secondary goals.  This student was interested in welding and is researching the topic on the Internet.

Conference Summary




Students in special education have equal access to high quality curriculum and instruction. 

ACT Bell Work

Students complete ACT like questions as bellwork daily in Study Skills class.  Students write down the questions and the answers to help demonstrate learning.  Answers are dicussed as a class.
